The West District Cross Country Championships took place on Saturday 5th December in Irvine. Twenty athletes from Law & District AAC trudged through wet, muddy and very cold conditions where everyone completed the course, with some outstanding performances. The star of the day for the club was Craig Wellcoat, in his 1st year U17 for X/C, lining up with 38 fellow competitors in his age-group, going on to having a superb run winning the District title and helping his club mates collect 3rd team prize. One of the youngest competitors from the club Pamela McNicol, also deserves a special mention coming home in a credible 17th place out of 67 U13 athletes, also 1st year in her age group, but nevertheless showing great maturity and commitment for a very young athlete.
