Law and District AAC turned out around 40 of their youngest athletes to participate in the popular annual Lanarkshire AAA X/C Championships, held at Drumpellier Park, Coatbridge on Saturday 21st November. The weather was atrocious and so muddy and marshy that the course itself had to be altered for the U13 athletes and over due to flooding. Nevertheless the youngsters bravely trudged through the mud with maybe a few tears from the youngest, but were soon exhuberant and delighted when all 7 teams were rewarded with team medals. The performance of the day, however, went to Richard Watson who proudly took the title of U11 Lanarkshire X/C Champion 2009, while 3 other athletes won individual medals.
