Membership Information

Renewal Date

The annual renewal date is 1st November.

New Members

New members will be charged from the date of joining to the next renewal date within the following bands:

  • Joining October - December, full annual subscription
  • Joining January - March, 75% of the annual subscription
  • Joining April - June, 50% of the annual subscription
  • Joining July - September, 25% of the annual subscription

Family Membership

A family membership is available for two or more siblings, where all are under 19 years or are eligible for the student discount at the renewal date. A parent and child/children may take a family membership providing the child is under 19 years or is eligible for the student discount at the renewal date.A monthly payment option is available.

Student Discount

A student discount is available to members aged 19 to 22 years at the renewal date, who are in full-time education or training.

Low-income families

Where members experience difficulty in meeting the full cost of membership a discount of up to 50% can be offered. Please contact the Club President if you wish to apply for this.

  • Over 19 Full £37
  • Support Member £0
  • Family Membership
    • Family of 2 £45
    • Family of 3 £68
    • Family of 4 or more £88
  • Secondary Claim £10
  • Retired concession £18.50

Resignation

Members who wish to terminate their membership of the Club are asked to notify the Membership Secretary at least 10 days prior to the renewal date. A member ceasing to be a member of the club shall forfeit any unexpired portion of their fee.

Membership Categories

Full Member a) Full Members must be affiliated to S.A.F.
b) Full Members shall have a voice and a vote at the A.G.M
c) Full Members may represent the Club in all Competitions
d) Full Members shall not be under the age of sixteen
Honorary Life Member a) Honorary Life Members may be elected at the Annual General Meeting in recognition of services to athletics or the Club
b) Honorary Life Members shall be exempt from payment of the annual subscription
c) Honorary Life Members shall have been Full or Ordinary Members of the club for at least twenty years before their election
Junior Member a) Junior Members must be affiliated to the S.A.F.
b) Junior Members shall have a voice but no vote at the A.G.M.
c) Junior Members must be nine years of age but less than sixteen years
Secondary Claim Members a) Secondary Claim Members must be affiliated to S.A.F.
b) Secondary Claim Members shall have a voice but no vote at the A.G.M.
Support Member a) Support Members should contribute to the running of the club
b) Support Members should not be coached by or compete for the club
c) Support Members shall have a voice and a vote at the A.G.M.
