Fellow javelin thrower, Thomas Lafferty came 4th in the B event with a throw of 41.30mtrs, a very good effort from him in his 1st year U20 and moving up a weight in Javelin, he is currently 3rd in the U20 Scottish rankings. Both performances were greatly appreciated by the Club's Throws Coach, Donald McLeod, who was delighted for them both.
